Crap and a half.
Aug. 2nd, 2005 08:47 pmI went out grocery shopping today - I rode my bike down Columbus to the Super Fresh grocery store (the Italian Market's nice, but it closes half an hour after I get off work so it's not always possible for me to go there). I just managed to pack all the stuff I bought into my saddlebags. About halfway back, I ran over a rock and my rear tire got punctured. Now I have to go get it fixed. I don't know anyone with a car so I'll probably have to walk it to the bike shop on Market Street.
I'm starting to think I was too hasty in buying this bike. The tires were old and not like sturdy mountain bike tires. Also, the handlebars aren't straight like what I used to have - they're like racing bike handlebars and I'm not comfortable with them. But it would be a waste to get a new one now. Maybe I can buy a new one with Hanukah money, or ask for one for my birthday or something.
Bleah, I feel so dumb...
