I picked up Michael Ende's The Neverending Story from the library yesterday. The movie was one of my childhood favorites: though I'm not far into the book, I'm already wishing that it had been one of my childhood favorites as well.
I also accomplished something today - or at least I consider it an accomplishment. Sort of. Okay, it isn't. I got a couple of posters for my room. This is sort of major because I've been living here for ten months (ten months...wow) and my walls are still mostly bare. So I got two posters, one of which is a big map of Middle Earth, and the other of which is a Jack Vettriano print called "Dance Me to the End of Love." It's mostly monochrome, with a few touches of color, and the dancing couples look like they're waltzing on on a still silver lake, heading off into the mist. It's pretty neat.
There are some nice art prints of places in Philadelphia, too, that I might get later, particularly pictures of the Italian Market and Boathouse Row.
