alryssa's reviews of her own ReBoot fics and my watching the series through again recently, I decided to visit my own ReBoot fics - Galatea: Chevalier d'Internet and Inspection Second - which are both about four years old. I know Galatea was my first, and IS was my third (I wrote a Samurai Jack fic in between). This was back in 2002, my sophomore year in college. I'm kind of ashamed now because I've been working, or not-working, on the same Ruse fic for practically forever. But that's another story.

Some of my old fanfics make me cringe, but my ReBoot fics still seem to hold up, even four years later. Inspection Second is pretty funny, even leaving the warts in, and while Galatea could use some renovation (and I think I shall get to that soon), the underpinnings of the fic are still pretty solid,[1] and Galatea herself - my first-ever original character - hardly sucks at all. Although I think I may be biased.

I have an idea for a season-4 sequel to Galatea, but only time will tell if I ever actually get it done.
