I think I need to stop fooling myself and go back on my Concerta, because without it I really do have more trouble focusing and, worse, I turn into a chattering monkey and don't make a good first impression on people I meet.

Unfortunately I threw out the prescription I got from my doctor, so I will have to get another one. I might also want to wait until February, when my job-provided health coverage switches over to a new plan with a lower copay for medication. If I got the Concerta now, plus the other medicine I'm taking, it would cost me 80 dollars a month. On the new plan I think it would only be 40.

Unfortunately I don't think either plan will let me get a 3-month supply of medication at once, and I'm not sure what to do about that.

Why a three-month supply at once? Just to make it easier than going back to the pharmacy every month or two months, or for some other reason?

Well, it does make things easier if you only have to go back every three months, because sometimes arranging for the meds can be a real pain and if you can get more of it done at once, that's good. The doctors I've had also tend to write prescriptions for a three-month supply.

Although my plan won't let me get more than one month's worth of anything at a time, the pharmacy will keep on record that I had a three month prescription, so I can pick up the other two months' worth, just not right then. And, of course, I have to pay the copay each month. :P

It couldn't hurt to ask. For many insurance peopleses, it's actually more economical to do three months at once.
