A Smile for the Day

It's rainy and cold and I'm fasting for Yom Kippur (although I'm still at work, which makes things...interesting), so I was very cheered up by a package I got today. Amanda, the nanny who took care of me when I was little, sent me a graduation present. Yes, I graduated months ago, but she's usually more prompt with presents and cards and such. Right now she's studying for her teacher's certification, so she's very busy.
She sent me some cooking equipment (now I really will have to cook some time), a cookbook, two framed pictures from Benjamin's Bar Mitzvah party, and even a toy for Roo (I guess Mom told her about Roo), though I'll have to ask her how I should put it together. A thank-you note and kitten pictures are in order.
Gaah, I hope I can make it through the day without giving in or fainting...
