miss_ytNext week the Senate votes on Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist's "Nuclear Option" - an initiative that will eliminate the filibuster, or right to debate over bills. The filibuster is very important to our system of checks and balances as it ensures open debate on any bill. Eliminating the filibuster will allow Frist and his cronies to push through bills and appointments that will favor businesses over individuals and prove detrimental to women, minorities and people with disabilities.
Please call your senators to tell them you support the filibuster - reach them through the Capitol switchboard at 1-877-851-6437.
