Not so good

miss_ytThe apartment I checked out this morning was...not quite what I expected. I did expect it to be a walk-up, and I could get over the stairs being narrow, but I think it's really a one-bedroom they just said was a two-bedroom. I say this because to get to the large bedroom you'd need to walk through what is ostensibly the small bedroom. It would be a fine one-bedroom apartment, but two...not really. Although the location is nice and it's above a restaurant and across the street from a cafe. Dad thinks that they may be having trouble selling it, and I could negotiate the price down.
However, I have some good news. One of the renters I called got in touch with me today. His place is actually just down the street from the place I was looking at this morning. This place as two merits, not counting location: it has central heat and air conditioning, and it will be open early June, which means I won't have to drop a month's rent. It's a bit more expensive but I can swing it, with a roommate of course. I plan to check it out on Saturday. Meanwhile I shall look into other options as well.
