Spontaneous stuff

miss_ytWell, the third Ruse trade paperback was supposed to be out by now, and I have it pre-ordered on Amazon, but it hasn't shipped yet. I was also bored, so I decided to walk to the local comic book store to see if they had it.
On the way I met my friend Elizabeth, who had just finished her finals. She was going shopping for comic books too, and then she planned to eat out, since she hadn't had a proper meal at all during finals period. We went to the comic book shop together. I didn't find the TPB I was looking for, but I found an illustrated guide to CrossGen comics that made reference to Ruse. I learned some useful stuff about Arcadia in there, which will go into my fic. The book also contained frustrating references to the big mystery behind Ruse, which never actually got revealed. What I saw fits in with the Grand Design I was planning, and part of it gave me an idea for Simon's own secrets related to The Big Mystery. So, not unproductive at all.
Afterwards Elizabeth and I went to Zen Sushi, a new restaurant that just opened up near college. I'd been wanting to check it out for a while but hadn't actually done so. We ordered a big sushi sampler thing and polished it off together. It was kind of expensive (worth it, too), but she paid for half of it and with the money I got for my birthday I can afford it. It was a nice spontaneous sushi outing.

Okay, I'll stop now. I think I'll do more work on my fanfic.
