Expecting stuff
Jul. 9th, 2004 01:24 pmI'm fixing up the backstory for my Ruse fic yet again - I renewed my subscription to Comics on the Web so I could read the rest of the series and reviewed Oxhine's uberbackstory primer for the Sigilverse. When I did the latter I found some inconsistencies that needed fixing. I also PM'd him about the feasability of the backstory I'm planning to use now.
My laptop has been shipped and I might have it as early as the 12th. I already have the optical mouse. I'm still waiting for my DDR pad adapters, which should come in the near future, and the third Ruse trade paperback, which I should get in the next few days if Amazon's delivery estimates are accurate. But since they don't have the cover picture up on CrossGen's website yet, nor is it showing up on their retailer's site, I'm not sure when I'll get it. I'm still planning to get the last eight issues in single format if I can find a store that sells them.
On a more serious note, I'm planning to study for the Graduate Rec Exams this summer. Dad and I are going to schedule the exam so I can take it in Philadelphia shortly after I go back to college. I have to go there a while before school starts, anyway, since Daniel starts at Columbia around the same time and we decided that I should be the one to get out of the house first. That way I'll get it done before all the other academic stuff starts, I hope. Once I've registered for it they'll send me some practice exams and tutorials on CD. I hope I won't have to take a subject exam to get into whatever graduate program I choose a few years down the road...
