Again, I spent too much time today playing Kingdom Hearts, and I also ate too much. Bleah.
This afternoon Valerie came over and we watched my tape of the San Francisco Ballet Company's presentation of Cinderella, hosted by Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. It's been one of my favorites since I was little. Valerie liked it too. We also watched this 3-D Shrek short. The evening was less enjoyable, as I had to go with Benjamin to his school for a pizza party/raffle thing. It was loud and boring. Benji liked it, though, since he won a little painted aluminum statue at Bingo and a pass of some kind in the raffle.
I've decided, after reading about 150 pages of 1633, that I do not find the book very engaging. The first one, which I got from Rachel, wasn't that bad, and I got this one from Paige. The fact that it was given to me by good friends motivated me to give it a good chance, but really, it's making me roll my eyes at times. I've put it aside for the time being - might pick it up again, though - and I've started on the Sherlock Holmes collection I bought at the mall yesterday. Didn't mention that, did I? Anyway, even reading the introduction has given me some ideas for changes to my Ruse fanfic. Although now I am worried that I may find Simon's character to be too close for comfort to that of Holmes: some people I have spoken to online and the reviews I have read say that he's pretty much his own character, but I can't exactly judge, because I have not yet read any Sherlock Holmes stories that I remember.
Well, the moment of truth will come soon enough...
