Sock puppets of WHAT?

I recently found out about officialgaiman, the LJ version of his online journal. It's been a bit hiccupy as of late, so collections of old entries keep getting posted instead of just new ones. That's kind of annoying, but if it hadn't happened and I hadn't read the things, I wouldn't have seen the fan e-mail NG posted there. And then I wouldn't have seen the Endless Sock Puppets.

Is this funny, or just plain wrong?

I'm only...let's see...eight hours away from being 21 years old. I ought to feel a sense of foreboding or something, but I don't.

Mom sent me a cute little card with a girl dressed in a fairy costume. It was terribly saccharine and, I must admit, I squealed over it. Very kyoot.

Tacky and Blue

Since I was bored and I needed to start getting my stuff together to go home anyway, I took down my posters. I put them up with this blue stuff the consistency of chewed, half-dried bubblegum, and had a hell of a time getting it off the walls and the posters themselves. But I did it - and now my room looks really ugly because there are no decorations. My door looks really empty too - had a big ol' Sandman poster up there. I have to roll up my rug, too. Most of the packing will have to wait until Dad gets here, because he'll have the boxes, but I can do some of it tonight and tomorrow.

Oh, bleep...

drakonous sent me a character sheet and the point costs and all for creating characters. I realize that I've forgotten what half the stuff is (if I ever knew in the first place), and I don't have my own sourcebook. Maybe tomorrow I'll go to the comic book store and hide in a corner with an Ascension sourcebook until I've gotten the damn thing written out.

I don't think I can make my character the way Simon really is - don't have enough points for it, and I didn't ask if I could have extra ones for my birthday - but since this is Mage, I guess it's going to be mostly in the playing of the roles, not the rolling of the dice. So it will really be my own investigative talents, whetted by Ruse and The Moonstone. that will carry me through. And it's not like I'm working alone...

Still, it would have been cool to make Simon Archard the Mage an uber character. Right now I still have to get past the basics. Oy.
