Well, it's not all bad.

I went back to Maryland from New York so I could spend New Year's Eve watching the ball drop with my family: instead I spent it in bead with a migraine and a severe cough. I wasn't even well enough to join them for dinner at my favorite Japanese restaurant. They brought me back some vegetable udon, but when Dad brought it to my room I could only manage to eat a few bites. I'm better now, but still coughing a lot, and cursing myself for not loading up on my ban lan gen tea while I was healthy. I did get some echinacea, which is an immune booster, but ban lan gen is the really good stuff.
Well, I'm better today - which is good, because I had to take the train back to Philly - and I hope to be better still tomorrow, when I am supposed to bring my cat home. Mom and Dad gave me a fair amount of cash because they know I spent most of my last paycheck on Roo's medical bills and boarding. My brother also gave me his copy of Katamari Damacy on "indefinate loan." Daniel liked the Family Guy drinking game cup I got him, and Benjamin appreciated my ordering the Lord of the Fries card game for his present, although it hasn't reached home yet. Overall, I had a pretty good time, although it would have been better without my catching Teh Plague.
Oh, I can look forward to getting a new computer in the coming weeks. Actually, it would be best for me to do it soon, as my current laptop's Norton perscription has less than a month left on it (after which I will be putting on AVG, which works just as well and is free). I'm planning to go to the Apple store at King of Prussia on some upcoming Saturday to get myself a MacBook Pro. I'll have to take a bus, because there isn't an Apple store in Philly.
Right, and there's the kendo starting on Sunday. I hope this cold clears up by then - it should - because believe me, you need to be able to breathe to do kendo, and I'm having some problems in that regard.
