I've been considering upgrading to a plus or paid account. I'd like to have more userpics, the ability to put in polls, and photo storage space (right now I keep my digital pictures in Photobucket - putting them on LJ would be more convenient). Being able to use a custom set of mood icons might be nice too. The hamsters I'm using now are cute, but rather limited.

Although the plus account will let me do all this stuff (although it has less space for photos), I think paying 20 dollars a year for these features ad-free is a pretty good deal - unless I can use Firefox to block out the ads in the plus account, which is sort of cheating.

Can those of you with paid and/or plus accounts recommend one over the other?

I love my paid account. It's not that much money really and it's worth it. At least I think so.

Oh! You asked me about the router! Mine came with detailed instructions, but if yours didn't, you can download the manual from d-link's website. I just followed the directions. :)

Well, actually, my boss told me how to set up the connections manually without the packaged software (which, he says, never works with any kind of router).

I like my paid account. I find it's worth the money, not just for the extra userpics, polls, and whatnot, but also for the ability to *not* be harrassed by ads in other people's journals.

Remember that with the plus account, you're not just selling *your* eyeballs, but those of everyone (without a paid account) who looks at your journal as well. So if you enjoy making your friends suffer, go for it. ;)

Ah, I figured it would be something like that - having a plus account would show ads to others, not just to you. So yeah, I think I'll get a paid journal.

Yeah, the paid account is more than worth it. And I spend the extra for the additional userpics too. So now I have 270 icons available, but have room for only 104 on my lj....so far....
