Well, it's too late, I threw it out and got a replacement. The people at Rosie's were both amused and appalled when I related my sad tale. Apparently in situations like that they will untangle the yarn for you. They just don't advertise it for obvious reasons.
Besides, it was a really, really awful mess. Trust me.
