Wastin' time

I wasted too much time today playing Invisible War, so I'm working later than my usual limit of 8 o'clock. Fortunately my Comp Lit class makes this less of a torture. It may take a lot of work - not just the reading, but weekly responses and three papers - but it's very interesting. I think I might have to burn the midnight oil this year since I'm a senior, but that doesn't scare me as much as it used to. I can work at a stretch if I have to, and as long as I stay organized, I won't have to rush.
Damn, it's my last year and I'm just starting to get the hang of things.
Today I had two interesting financial transactions. First, I bought books for a class at Haverford that I ended up dropping. Since they don't take Bryn Mawr Express cards, I used money from my debit card to pay for the books. Since that didn't cover quite everything, I used cash to pay the remaining balance. When I returned the books they put the amount they withdrew from the card plus the cash I'd paid back on the card. I pointed this out to them, but they said it was all right. Of course, the amount was less than two dollars, so I guess they didn't think it was worth the bother.
My other transaction was with a vending machine. I wanted to buy an 80-cent bag of peanuts and the machine wouldn't take my bill. A maintenance guy happened to show up to collect the money from the machine. He opened it up, dropped my dollar in the collection box and gave me a quarter in change, when I would normally have gotten only twenty cents.
Yes, the amounts were small, but it was remarkable that two things like this happened in the same day.
As for Deus Ex: Invisible War, I have now managed to beat three endings. I'm working on the fourth. Then I plan to play the original Deus Ex through, then Invisible War again, for this whole continuity thing. Mwa ha ha.
Tonight there's a dorm meeting and I plan to ask the dorm president about setting up a tea, since I want to host a Pride and Prejudice tea. Tomorrow I'm going to make an appointment to meet a counselor at the Career Office and find some books for projects I need to do later, as well as books for my thesis. I have a list already but it's good to have more, and maybe I can find some of the books on my list in the library.
Doing okay so far. No panic attacks yet.
