Day of Oops

Today has not been great. The electric rake in Roo's litterbox jammed and I had to fix that. I found out that I did something wrong with the hat I'm making for my Mom's friend and had to rip back several rows of stitches. When I started registering for grad school classes, I discovered I'd made a mistake by not doing that as soon as registration opened - I missed out on some of the classes that are required for my specialization. I can take them later, but really, I should be taking them this semester.¹ And, finally, I accidentally knocked over a perfume bottle Mom was keeping in the fridge. It was a small one, and not anything expensive, but it got all over the place and splashed my legs, so now I smell like I sprayed on a little too much.

On the other hand, I did see to the class registration (albeit not as soon as I should have), sent in my application for student health insurance and organized some more of my packed stuff. So the day wasn't entirely bad.

There, I'm done venting. I'm going to work on my knitting project now.


¹I left a phone message for the professor of two of those classes asking if she can take me in one of them anyway, but I'm not sure how that will turn out.
