Roo's home!
Jan. 2nd, 2007 01:32 pmI brought Roo home during lunch hour. The vet's office accidentally overcharged me for boarding (they entered the charge in their system twice), but I caught it and as an apology they shaved off the price of one day. When they brought Roo out in her carrier, she seemed quite anxious to go home - she was meowing and moving around a lot. I think her meow has changed, because now it sounds more like a regular meow than a squeak. Maybe she picked something up from some of the other cats in boarding.
Really good news: the vet decided it was okay to take off Roo's splint, so she doesn't need that or the cone. After I let her out at home, she was waving and holding up her tail normally, so I guess she's all better.
She also spent a few minutes checking over the apartment - making sure everything was where it's supposed to be, I guess - and pointedly ignoring me, although once she'd had enough of that she went over to me demanding to be petted. So I guess she's happy. I'm glad to have her back.
