New pretties!
Dec. 15th, 2006 02:55 pmIt has recently occurred to me that I should take advantage of some of the options afforded to me by a paid LJ account (other than the extra userpic capacity, and I haven't even been doing much with that). So I decided to try out the Hanukkah seasonal theme for a while. It's pretty!
I'm also looking for a new permanent theme - something a little flashier than what I had before. Probably something fannish.
In other news, the visit with my mother went pretty well, and she got me lots of Stuff. We even stopped off at the pet store and got Roo a new collar (which was long overdue). It's not stylish like the one she broke, but considering how much she runs around, I think a simple, durable collar is best. And this collar has a little bell on it! Of course she wasn't happy about the whole collar business and actually succeeded in getting it off (and then started playing with it, to taunt me). I managed to get it back on and now she doesn't seem to mind.
Because of the bell collar, I've given Roo yet another nickname: Dingle Chicken.
Anyway, I'm hoping that some good will come of Mom's visit to the migraine specialist at Jefferson (that's why she was here). He recommended some new medications for her. If those don't work, maybe she'll consider one of the new therapies, like the the "ray gun" that calms the overactive synapses that lead to migraines.
Oh, I've also decide to write my fanfics using a straight text editor from now on, rather than a word processor. It simplifies the business of HTML formatting considerably.
