Marching two by two...
Jul. 30th, 2006 10:35 pmANTS!!! Ants in my apartment! I just started seeing them around. I don't know where they're coming from, but I think they may be living under the fridge, as they seem to congregate around there the most. They also hang out around Roo's food.
I am going to put down roach motels. Or ant motels. Whatever. And I will have to talk to my landlord, although I've probably given him enough to worry about already, what with replacing the carpet and the leaking air conditioner.
In slightly happier news, I have gotten a handle on the Rosie's Star Cluster shawl that I'm trying to make for fall, to wear with my Rennaisance Fair outfit. I had never done some of the stitches involved and kept forgetting to do the necessary yarn-overs, so it took a while to get the hang of it, but now it is coming along nicely. The yarn is cotton, which makes it look somewhat different from the pictures on the pattern I got, but it is quite nice and will be comfy.
On a very bizzare note, I have been playing this Love Hina dating sim. I don't know why, as I am not familiar with Love Hina except for the name, and whoever wrote the game seriously needed a copy editor (although many flash games, and a number of professionally produced games, do). Now that I think about it, it's rather simplistic as well, but certain aspects of the game intrigue me. Maybe I should look for other dating sims, although that might be difficult since they are not popular in this country.
Oh, my new roommate is moving in tomorrow! She says she will be here in the evening. Yay!
