The Cat's Birthday and My Parents' Visit
Jul. 16th, 2006 06:01 amRoo's birthday is coming up soon - I estimate August 1st to be her birthday, since she was six weeks old when I found her in mid-September last year. I can hardly wait to take her to the local pet shop to find a present! I might do it early. She's already spoiled (cats are spoiled by definition, don't you know?) so it will do no harm. If any of you wish to send her a present or birthday wishes, now is a good time. :)
In other news, my parents are coming to visit later today. They happen to be in the area because they are dropping off Benjamin at summer camp. This means they will buy me stuff and take me out to dinner - and they get to meet my cat - but it also means that Mom will bother me. At least she came up with the idea of helping me pick out my clothes for our California trip now, so that she won't be bothering me later about whatever I brought or didn't bring.
Hm. As far as taking me out to dinner is concerned, I think I have only been to one "nice" place in the city of Philadelphia (Ernesto's, with
drakonous), but my mother has a knack for finding nice places. Although I would appreciate a recommendation.
I can't wait to inform my cat, in my mother's presence, that since I am her adoptive mommy, my mother is her grandma. :)
