I got my new cell phone today. The old one was a piece of crap - the earpiece stopped working and I had to plug in the headset thing, which I could never get to stay on my ear without holding it there. Now I just have to enter all my numbers into the new one.
Something else happened today at the Doublestar Science Fiction Club dinner. A particular guy, with whom I am acquainted, has apparently been creeping out a lot of the girls in the club - following them around, not taking hints, and doing various passive-agressive things and other stuff that could be defined as harassment. One of the deans came to talk to us because, while there were a lot of rumors going around about him and what he'd done and what his status on campus was, there had been few formal complaints, and the faculty wanted to make sure everyone knew how to handle it (I'm quite impressed - at my high school, they weren't nearly that supportive of me when I was having trouble with various people). Now, this guy has never struck me as being particularly sketchy, and one of the other people in the Doublestar club is friends with him. From what I've heard, though, he either has some serious social skill deficiencies or he's a creep, which means he needs either psychological therapy or two-by-four therapy. I really don't know which, and neither does anyone else, which is part of the problem.
Anyhoo, I'd better go. I haven't gotten as much work done today as I planned, and I figure I should do a little thesis writing before I go to bed.
