Dec. 30th, 2004 08:23 amMy family and I landed in Florida a little before midnight and stayed in a hotel. They have a fast internet connection here.
I was going to talk about some of the things that happened in the past few days but I just saw on TV that the death toll from the tsunami passed 100,000. That doesn't surprise me, sadly enough. I'm glad to hear there are lots of private donations going out (my dad sent some money too). The government is sending two carrier groups and escorts and such with lots of food, water purifiers and equipment to help move it all.
What a way to start the new year. I know it isn't the new year yet but it's close enough. I don't feel like I can write about anything else.
