Yay for me!
Jun. 11th, 2004 12:27 pmI have accomplished two sort of momentous things in the past forty-eight hours, and both of them were very geeky, so I'm quite proud of myself. First, I managed to finish the last season of Babylon 5 (or the last but not best part of the story of the galaxy's last, best hope for peace). I also unlocked all the songs and special features on DDR. It's not the first time I've done it, but I had to do it again because the DDR save file on my brother's PS2 cartridge was corrupted and had to be deleted. I'm getting a lot better at DDR. I can make it through a lot of the songs on Standard mode now.
Dad and I are finalizing the laptop business. He wants me to see if I can find a store where they sell Dell laptops on retail, so I can see one up close before I buy it. I don't see what the big deal is - I know what the features are, because I looked over the specs and picked out the equipment I wanted, and I know how many ports it has. Dad said I should get a feel for the computer, but when I get it I just have to get used to it. Well, I'll take a look at some of the sample ones in stores if I can, but it seems a bit ridiculous to me.
I just checked my e-mail. Two days ago I posted something on
mock_the_stupid. I barely said anything, just posted a link - and I have close to a hundred replies! The notifications are flooding into my BMC e-mail inbox. I feel so popular.
Now, what do I have to do today...well, besides checking on the whole laptop business, I should call Rachel since I'll be in New York soon and maybe I can see her. I should also write Marjorie a letter, and work on my fanfic. Since I'm done with Babylon 5 I should be able to do more things now, unless I want to go through the whole series looking for special features, which I will probably end up doing, because I'm such a geek.
