Since the Day of the Kite

Not much has happened since that incident with the kite, except that I finished a chapter of my fanfic and got a few things done at work. Today I am going to the Library of
Congress to check out some pictures and maps we might use in the exhibit. There's a delay on the Metro because someone apparently got sick on the train at Metro Center (maybe the person had a heart attack or a stroke or a seizure) and everything got backed up. But we're moving now.
Again last night I went to bed late, and I had a very weird dream. I was in the city of Carbuncle on Tiamat, except it didn't look like Carbuncle, and I was aware of this in my dream. It was all spread out and not in a rising spiral like the city was supposed to be. I kept squeezing my eyes shut and trying to change it (I wasn't lucid dreaming, but I thought what was going on had something to do with me). The city had two aspects, a Summer aspect and a Winter aspect, that each existed in mirror universes, and I could switch from one to the other by saying "Summer" or "Winter." The Summer city looked sort of old and shabby and was full of canals, warehouses and seaweed all over the buildings. The Winter aspect (which I liked better) was kind of like Vegas, with lots of lights, noise, loud architecture and lots of stuff going on. Of course, in the Winter aspect were the nobles of Winter families, who were trying to involve me in their evil plots.
I also saw Moon Dawntreader, who was running the city, and for part of the dream I was her twin - not Queen Arienrhod, but an alternate version of her. She belonged in the Summer aspect and I was in the Winter aspect. Technically we were both supposed to run the city, except I didn't know what was going on and she didn't seem to like me much. Okay, she really didn't like me and treated me with contempt, even though as a character Moon is a patient, tolerant and compassionate person. So eventually I gave up on the whole business and went wandering around the city.
No, it doesn't make sense, and the rest of my dream makes even less sense, but there it is.
