Sexually mature but incapacitated women turn up pregnant all the time. My mother was on a case involving a comatose woman where the parents sued the hospital, but it was established that there was no tort of "wrongful life" in the state law. The hysterectomy was the very least they could do, and despite their icky "pillow angel" talk, I think they're doing the best they can do.
