Windows (not the operating system)

It took more than an hour, a lot of frustration and some creativity, but I have now insulated the windows in my room with a kit that consists of plastic and double-sided tape. I had to use broad Scotch tape, too, to hold down some of the corners. And the plastic sheets were not long enough for my windows, so I had to cut off some of the excess from the side and tape it to the bottom. The result isn't pretty, but it keeps the drafts out surprisingly well. Tomorrow I think I'll do the same to the kitchen windows.

Oh, and it's only four days until Philcon...

you responded to something I probably commented on in overheardnyc but when I tried to reply it wouldn't let me.

But you said you were getting one of the sushi drives for the holidays. I wondered if you've found a better price than the ridiculous $100 I've found.

No, only the one company makes them and that's how much they cost.

You can get regular ones a lot cheaper - it's the craftsmanship that jacks up the price.

Yeah...I figured. Except I think it's just the pieces restaurants buy that simulate sushi. But whatever, I just have to suck it up and get one.
