News on stuff

Dell is going to send me a replacement hard drive at no charge. I'll probably get it some time this week.

I have some good-news items to report. Roo is old enough for flea treatments, so I applied one, and now she can run around the whole apartment. She's certainly happy about that. Now she can sleep in my room. Yay!

Also, I got first-showing tickets for Serenity at The Bridge. I can hardly wait, not just because of the movie itself, but because I'll be watching it in company with a crowd of college geeks. That really adds to the experience.

Where are you having the hard drive sent? Should I be watching out for it here?

Yes, please. Although I think the package is small enough that they'll just leave it there.

They're not supposed to. The supposed rule is that all packages coming from our facilities have to be signed for. Of course, that doesn't always happen, but that's how it should work.

Umm... Are you sure that only one flea treatment is enough to kill all of them. I recall having to do several the one time one of our dogs got them before it was really "safe" to let her run around the house again. Be sure to either ask the doctor or check the directions really carefully to see how long you are supposed to wait before it is fully effective and how many if more then one treatment you are supposed to give.

Just a slightly paranoid heads-up.

It's okay - the vet I took her to recommended this particular treatment, which starts working 2 hours after you apply it. It kills adult fleas (and a number of other pests) and prevents flea eggs from hatching.

Thanks for the heads-up, though.

Well, I'm not sure how they're shipping it. If I get a slip saying that they visited but couldn't find anyone to sign, I'll change the delivery address to the place where I work.
