Hahahaah, very funny, [livejournal.com profile] scifantasy =P

I have two pairs of headphones at the moment - one for at-work/running/anywhere I need to hear things around me besides my music, and one for when I want the world to go away.

My selection for the former category is the Koss KSC-75, available at some Circuit City stores for $20. Not the gold standard in sound quality, but for $20 it's damn good. And the slightly overboosted bass makes it a fun pair of 'phones. =)

My other pair is the AKG K271 Studio, check out 8th Street Music at 10th and Arch. (Yes, I know, the store is mis-named.) Blocks out 20+ dB of sound, in addition to being incredibly good for classical and jazz music. They're a bit expensive though, at about $150 - $180 depending on the store. But you know, speaker rigs that sound that good cost 10-15x as much...
