Back in the Saddle

I may be deluding myself, but I think I feel better now that I've got classes and homework to attend to than I did when I was lounging around at home.

As it stands, I have three classes: my senior seminar, High Middle Ages, and Religion in Modern Japan. I don't have any classes on Fridays, which will make it easier to visit my brother. Don't be jealous of me, though, because I need the extra time for thesis interviews and the job search.

Now for something completely different: my friend Jessica is back at Bryn Mawr. She started the same year I did but took an 18-month leave of absence for medical reasons. I ran into her in the dining hall today. She was very excited when I told her about my thesis topic, and volunteered to help me with my research. She wants to come along next time I attend a synagogue service. Since she knows a lot more about Jewish tradition than I do (she's very religious, although her family isn't), I'll be glad to have her give me a helping hand.
