I know. I think it's mostly because of the timing. Mom and I just sat down and had a serious talk about our issues two days ago, and I'm already writing it into a story.

It's also kind of a new experience for me, as Real Life has not factored into my fanfics very much in the past. At least, not in an obvious way.

The only story I ever wrote that was based on personal experience was Without Santa: A Jewish Christmas Story. And the personal experiences I slipped into that story did not also double as personal issues.
